Position: Metal Polisher Location: York Pay Rate : Depends upon the experience. Shift: Day shift Responsibilities: Using hand tools such as sandpaper, wire brushes, and buffing wheels to remove imperfections Inspecting metal surfaces for defects and blemishes Applying metal polish to surfaces using a variety of techniques such as dipping, spraying, or hand application Operating machinery such as lathes, grinders, and drills to shape and smooth metal surfaces Working with chemicals and solvents to clean and prepare metal surfaces for polishing Measuring and testing polished metal surfaces for quality assurance Keeping work area clean and organized Communicating with supervisors and coworkers about job progress and any issues that may arise Requirements: Proven experience as a metal polisher Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics Knowledge of various polishing techniques and tools Attention to detail and ability to identify surface imperfections Physical ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects Familiarity with safety procedures and PPE usage Strong work ethic and willingness to work flexible hours Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment Job Type: Full-time Salary: $22.00-$27.00 per hour Benefits: Dental care Life insurance Paid time off Vision care Flexible Language Requirement: French not required Schedule: Monday to Friday Experience: Metal polishing: 1 year (required) Ability to Commute: York, ON (required) Ability to Relocate: York, ON: Relocate before starting work (required) Work Location: In person
